Weekly Report of Trial Proceedings: September 20 - September 24, 2010
This week saw the defense resume presenting documentary evidence. On Thursday, Mr. Khodorkovsky also made a statement to the court, offering that he and his attorneys would not participate in the closing arguments if the prosecution filed submissions acknowledging that crude oil was sold and purchased, because that was why, ultimately, YUKOS was bankrupted.

The trial resumed this week with Mr. Lebedev directly addressing the text of the indictment. Later in the week, Prosecutor Lakhtin began his cross-examination at the conclusion of Mr. Lebedev's testimony.
Weekly Report of Trial Proceedings: September 6 - September 10, 2010
THis week, the trial saw Mr. Lebedev continuing to testify. At the end of the week, he spent the entire day testifying about two very important topics - the privatization of YUKOS and the withdrawal of YUKOS audit certifications by PwC.
Weekly Report of Trial Proceedings: August 30 - September 3, 2010
On Thursday, a three judge panel of the Moscow City Court upheld the extension of Messrs. Khodorkovsky and Lebedev's arrest. After hearing from Mr. Khodorkovsky and the defense attorneys, the judges chose to leave the decision of the Khamovnicheskiy Court in place, ignoring, once again, the changes to the Criminal Procedure Code, which were made after being initiated by President Medvedev. Speaking after the hearing, Mr. Klyuvgant told reporters that defense intended to take its appeal all the way to the European Court of Human Rights if the law continued to be ignored by the Russian judicial system.
