Weekly Report of Trial Proceedings: January 18 – January 22, 2010
This week, the court began with the continued testimony and cross-examination of Mr. Uzornikov, former section head in charge of international audit and control at YUKOS-Moscow. The rest of the week saw the questioning of Mr. Aleksey Golubovich, Director of Strategic Planning and Corporate Finance at YUKOS from 1998 through 2001, as well as shareholder of Group MENATEP.
Weekly Report of Trial Proceedings: January 11 – January 15, 2010
This past week began with the prosecution continuing to call mid-level employees who worked at YUKOS subsidiaries. After Tuesday's hearing Mr. Lebedev's defense team issued a short statement praising the testimony of a prosecution witness for having completely refuted allegations that Mr. Khodorkovsky bribed former management of YUKOS and continued to finance them for their cooperation in embezzling crude oil from production companies. On Thursday and Friday, the prosecution and defense heard testimony from Sergey Uzornikov, former section head in charge of international audit and control at YUKOS-Moscow.
