Ivar Amundsen, a human rights activist and director of the Chechnya Peace Forum, compares the Telenor dispute in Russia with the Yukos Affair.

In his opinion editorial in The Moscow Times, Amundsen states that: "Telenor's legal troubles echo the Yukos case and has become a test of President Dmitry Medevedev's commitment to the rule of law and an independent judiciary. A negative outcome for Telenor might seriously undermine the credibility of the Russian market for foreign investors."
