President Dmitry Medvedev urged Sweden after hosting Prime Minister Fredrik Reinfeldt to extradite two Chechen separatists.

Sweden has refused to extradite the two men - a move which Russia previously called a "political offence".

In an open letter published by Swedish newspaper Sydsvenskan, Russian human rights activsts Tatyana Lokshina and Oleg Orlov called on Reinfeldt and Swedish Foreign Minister Carl Bildt to openly criticize Russia for rights violations in the Caucasus.
