On Monday, March 29, the prosecutors finished questioning their witnesses in the second trial against Mikhail Khodorkovsky and Platon Lebedev.

The prosecutors' announcement comes almost exactly a year after the trial began on March 31, 2010. On February 5, 2007, Russian prosecutors initially filed the charges against Khodorkovsky and Lebedev in the Siberian city of Chita. On June 30, 2008, investigators again brought charges, which with some amendments repeated the charges of February 2007.

The new allegations are so inflated that they imply that the men embezzled oil equal to the total amount of oil that YUKOS produced from 1998-2003.
