Poll: Nearly Half of Russians Object to the Prosecution’s Presentation of Evidence in the Khodorkovsky-Lebedev Trial

According to a Levada Center opinion poll, 46 percent of the respondents believe that the Khodorkovsky-Lebedev defense teams should have a right to immediately investigate and comment on the evidence being presented by the prosecution in court.
Additionally, the survey made several other conclusions:
- 42 percent of the population stated that the trial of the former Yukos owners was not receiving sufficient coverage in press
- Almost two-thirds of the Russian population (63 percent) are not making forecasts regarding the outcome of the trial of the former Yukos chiefs
- 50 percent of top executives said they would welcome the release of Mikhail Khodorkovsky
- 54 percent of the respondents believe that the prosecution is deliberately dragging on the trial by monotonously reading the materials of the case
