Pärt Symphony Dedicated to Khodorkovsky has Rome Debut
The concert of Estonian-born Arvo Pärt, directed by Tonu Kaljuste, took place on January 27 at the Auditorium Parco della Musica in Rome. The concert was organised by the famous "Accademia Nazionale di Santa Cecilia" and had almost 600 attendees, including Oscar winning composer Ennio Morricone, and many politicians and journalists. Arvo Pärt also attended the event. The concert ended with a standing ovation for Pärt, the director and the orchestra.

At the entrance of the music hall, there was a poster with the picture of Khodorkovsky and a brochure distributed to the audience informing about the reasons for which Symphony N. 4 "Los Angeles" (Italian premiere) is dedicated to Khodorkovsky and highlighting the key elements of the case.
Following the event, a special media reception was held to raise awareness of Khodorkovsky's case.
