Moscow Mayor’s Wife Named Most Influential Businesswoman in Russia

Inteko CEO Yelena Baturina, the wife of Moscow Mayor Yury Luzhkov was picked by Finans Magazine as Russia's most influential business for the second year in a row. This year's rankings were dominated by newcomers from energy giants and large holding companies - replacing many retailers and food producers which were more prominent last year. It is estimated that Baturina has a net worth of $2.2 billion. In the past she has denied preferential treatment by City Hall however, and sued opposition politician Boris Nemtsov after he claimed her company benefitted from the mayor's favorable decisions.
