Moscow City Court to Hear Khodorkovsky and Lebedev’s Complaint Against Extension of Detention
On September 2, the Moscow City Court will hear Mikhail Khodorkovsky and Platon Lebedev's complaints against the extension of their detention until November 17.
If the court turns the cassation down, the lawyers will file a complaint with the High Court in Russia and the European Court of Human Rights.
Lawyer Natalia Terekhova said: "We believe that the ruling of the court is illegal because in spring the presidential amendments to the legislation were enforced - these not only ban pre-trial arrests on economic crimes but also any requests for such a restriction measure."
