Russian President Dmitry Medvedev has launched an attack on Ukrainian President Viktor Yushchenko ahead of the country's presidential elections. In an open letter to Yushchenko, Medvedev " refused to renew diplomatic ties by saying he was postponing the dispatch of a new ambassador to Kiev until there was a change in relations." He also accused the Ukrainian president of pursuing "anti-Russian" policies.
