The head of a Chechen charity was found shot dead with her husband, a day after being abducted from her office. The Times reports that Zarema Sadulayeva and Alik Dzhabrailov were "found in the boot of a car in a suburb of the capital Grozny." The murder is less than a month after Natalia Estemirova, another human rights activist in Chechnya, was similarly abducted and murdered.
The article notes that, "the latest killings will pile pressure on the Kremlin to act over an apparent campaign of assassination against activists involved in civil society work in Chechnya."
