TIME reports that on the death of Russian lawyer Sergei Magnitsky after being denied medical care in prison. Magnitsky was imprisoned in Moscow's notorious Butyrka jail after refusing to give false testimony against Hermitage Capital.
Magnitsky's death has brought in a public discussion in Russia of reiderstvo, or "raiding," a term that describes illegal tactics used by corrupt officials to size businesses or property.
