From the Courtroom
Weekly Report of Trial Proceedings: February 1 - February 5, 2010
Mr. Pavel Maliy continued to give testimony and Ms. Elena Timoshenko also took to the stand. As Mr. Khodorkovsky noted, the prosecution continued to focus on everything but crude oil, which only gave more weight to suspicions that they are using the courtroom as an interrogation room to collect evidence for another case.
Courtroom Report: February 4, 2010
Today's hearing was bookended by Mr. Lebedev's motion and statement. In between, without their witness, prosecutors read interrogation transcripts and responded to Mr. Lebedev's motion for the exclusion of all transcripts from interrogations conducted by investigator Nikandrov.
Courtroom Report: February 3, 2010
Mr. Maliy resumed giving his testimony discussing YUKOS's credit rating and the proposed YUKOS/Sibneft merger.
Courtroom Report: February 2, 2010
Mr. Maliy was unable to attend today's hearing, so the prosecution called a different witness. Ms. Elena Timoshenko worked at various YUKOS affiliates from 1997 through 2007, her last place of work being a section head in accounting and tax compliance department at YUKOS-FBC.
Courtroom Report: February 1, 2010
The prosecution asked for more time to respond to Mr. Lebedev's motion from the previous week and then called Mr. Pavel Maliy, a director at the Directorate for Corporate Finance at YUKOS-Moscow, to the stand.
